Award Nomination for Innovative Ways of Working in the Development of the Offender Pathway Post-Release from HMP Stafford

The local design and approach to the development of an innovative offender rehabilitation pathway has been recognised.

The project team leading the development of this innovative multi-agency application to support the pathway for offenders with known anxiety management issues post-release from HMP Stafford have been nominated for Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Partnership NHS Trust’s “Celebrating Excellence Awards.”

The team including Johanne Tomlinson OBE, Lead Anxiety Nurse (HMP Stafford), Julie Williams Service Improvement Manager (Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Partnership NHS Trust) and Lisa Taylor (Simple Telehealth) have worked in conjunction with current offenders to develop three applications of Flo seeking to deliver a wide range of benefits across health and social care with the aim of extending the current award winning anxiety management programme developed by Johanne at HMP Stafford post-release with the ultimate aim of reducing the likelihood of re-offending.

The awards will be presented on Friday 13th March 2015.

For more information on the approach and specific pathways developed at HMP Stafford please contact Johanne Tomlinson, Anxiety Lead Nurse, johanne.tomlinson@ssotp.nhs.uk or Lisa Taylor, Senior Specialist, Simple Telehealth lisa.taylor@simple.uk.net
